‘这首诗不是泰戈尔的作品。第一段出自香港知名女作家张小娴的小说《荷包里的单人床》。原文是：“ 世界上最遥远的距离，不是生与死的距离，不是天各一方，而是，我就站在你面前，你却不知道我爱你。” 从第二段开始，是台湾网友——阳明神农坡医学院的一些同学在BBS中集体创作的。由于《读者》杂志2003年第14期上引用了此诗，但由于编辑没有详细考证，误署名成泰戈尔，因而造成广大读者以为是印度诗人所作。其实不然，这首诗完全是网络时代的产物！’
